Toyota is not the only car maker who is selling hybrids, though; Honda made the ‘Insight’ and in fact this car was the first hybrid vehicle to be made available to to consumers. It was not welcomed in the same manner as the Prius hybrid by Toyota but it started off the consumer market for hybrids. An award-winning hybrid and priced at roughly $27,000 is the Ford Fusion Hybrid. It is viewed by many as the best hybrid car in the US. A car which is believed to produce zero emissions whatsoever is the i-MiEV from Mitsubishi. It was among the first electric cars to be created by a Japanese auto company.
